What Waffle Is#
Waffle starts with letters already on a crossword-shaped grid. Swap them until the three rows and three columns form the intended words.
Green and yellow clues help you work out which letters belong where. Shared cells connect the across and down answers.
How to Play#
Study the intersections before swapping. A yellow letter at a crossing can belong to either word, so check both possibilities and look for swaps that help two places.
What to Try Next#
Choose Waffle when you prefer arranging visible letters to entering guesses. Squaredle offers a different grid challenge: find words by tracing adjacent letters.

Frequently Asked Questions#
How many swaps do you get in Waffle?
Fifteen. Every daily board is solvable in 10, and each unused swap earns a star — solve in exactly 10 and you get all five.
Is every Waffle puzzle really solvable?
The daily game is designed to have a solution within the swap allowance. If you run out, review which swaps helped both an across and a down word.
