Check today’s Nerdle solutionWhat Sumplete Is#
Sumplete gives each row and column a target. Choose which numbers to keep so the remaining cells satisfy all the targets together.
Unlike Nerdle, it does not hide an equation behind a sequence of guesses. The grid and targets are visible, so you work by checking combinations and their intersections.
Play it at sumplete.com. Sumplete is made by a separate publisher. This is an independent guide.
How to Play Sumplete#
Look for rows or columns with only one possible combination. On a grid of positive numbers, a cell larger than a remaining target cannot be kept. Check the numbers in your selected mode before applying that shortcut.
After marking a cell, check the crossing row or column. Keep track of confirmed cells and reconsider a choice if it makes either target impossible.
Sumplete vs Nerdle#
What the two share
- Arithmetic drives the puzzle
- Constraints help rule out possible choices
- A compact board supports step-by-step reasoning
- Each decision should be checked against the other clues
What changes
- You keep or remove supplied numbers instead of guessing an answer
- Row and column totals use addition
- Different grid sizes change the challenge
- The completed grid must satisfy all the shown sums
Choose Sumplete when you want arithmetic without a six-guess limit. Countle is another option if you prefer building a target; NerdleBuddy offers a hidden-equation puzzle when you want to learn from colored feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions#
Did ChatGPT really invent Sumplete?
Daniel Tait used ChatGPT while developing Sumplete. The result is a number-elimination game built around row and column sums.
Is Sumplete free?
The linked website offers browser play. Check its current modes and access options on the game itself.
What's the best Sumplete strategy?
Find a row or column with a forced combination, mark the cells, and check how that changes the crossing sums. Apply shortcuts only when the grid's numbers support them.
Is Sumplete the same as Kakuro?
They both use sum constraints, but the actions differ. Kakuro asks you to fill cells; Sumplete asks which of the supplied numbers to keep.
