Antiwordle

Avoid the hidden word for as many guesses as possible. Each row adds restrictions that make the answer harder to avoid.

What Antiwordle Is#

Antiwordle reverses the usual goal: a correct answer ends the round. Your score is the number of guesses you make before that happens.

The feedback also restricts your next guess. You must work within the clues while delaying the final answer.

How to Play#

Gray letters cannot be used again, yellow letters must be included, and red letters stay in their confirmed positions. Try placing required yellow letters elsewhere while keeping each guess valid.

What to Try Next#

Absurdle keeps Wordle’s goal but lets the game resist you. Antiwordle changes your goal instead, making it a useful comparison for anyone interested in how rules change strategy.

Frequently Asked Questions#

How do you lose Antiwordle?

By spelling the hidden word — a guess where every letter comes back red ends the game. Your score is how many guesses you lasted before that happened.

Is there a guess limit?

No. Unlike Wordle's six guesses, Antiwordle continues until the accumulating letter restrictions finally force you into the answer.

Is Antiwordle free?

Yes — it is a free browser game at antiwordle.com with one shared word per day, still running as of mid-2026.
