Absurdle

Absurdle keeps a pool of possible answers and chooses feedback that leaves the largest group available. Your goal is to narrow it until you can name the word.

What Absurdle Is#

Absurdle does not begin with a fixed answer. After each guess, it selects a feedback pattern that preserves as many possible words as it can.

Earlier feedback still constrains later choices. The game can resist your guesses, but it cannot freely discard its own clues.

How to Play#

Test useful letters and compare the possibilities each row leaves. Guesses are unlimited, so you can explore the rule before trying for a low score.

Check the game’s mode description before playing a challenge variant. A mode that asks you to force a particular word has a different objective.

What to Try Next#

Try Antiwordle for another reversal of Wordle: there, you try to avoid the answer. Absurdle instead keeps the familiar goal and changes how the answer is chosen.

Frequently Asked Questions#

Does Absurdle actually have an answer?

Not until you force one. It keeps every word consistent with the feedback it has shown and only 'commits' when your guesses leave exactly one candidate.

What's the fewest guesses Absurdle can be beaten in?

Guesses are unlimited. Try to reduce your own guess count as you learn how its feedback preserves the largest remaining answer group.
