Agreement#

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the operator of nerdlebuddy.com (“NerdleBuddy”, “we”, “us”). By visiting the site, using the solver or puzzles, or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to the privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

The Service#

NerdleBuddy provides free tools for the number-puzzle game Nerdle: a solver, strategy guides, and original puzzles, plus optional accounts that save game history and streaks.

Independent fan project. NerdleBuddy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nerdle or nerdlegame.com. “Nerdle” and related marks belong to their respective owners; NerdleBuddy’s puzzles are its own generated equations.

The service is provided free of charge, and we may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Accounts#

Accounts are optional — every tool and puzzle works without one. Signing in uses Google sign-on; you are responsible for activity that happens through your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure.

You can sign out at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and its game history from the profile page. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create risk for other users, with or without notice.

Acceptable Use#

Using NerdleBuddy, you agree not to:

  • break any applicable law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service, its security, or its rate limits, or access it with automated tools at abusive volumes;
  • attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • resell the service or misrepresent NerdleBuddy’s content as official Nerdle content.

Good-faith security research is welcome — please report vulnerabilities privately (see /.well-known/security.txt) rather than exploiting them or disclosing them publicly first.

Content & Ownership#

The site’s software, design, text, and generated puzzle data belong to NerdleBuddy or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your game records remain yours; how they are stored, used, and deleted is described in the privacy notice. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

Disclaimers#

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Solver suggestions, statistics, difficulty ratings, and answer information are best-effort computations from NerdleBuddy’s own model and clearly labelled sources; they may contain errors and are not guarantees.

Limitation of Liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NerdleBuddy and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us to use it — zero — or, where such a limitation is not permitted, the smallest amount permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.

Termination#

You may stop using the site at any time and delete your account from the profile page. We may suspend or terminate access to the service (or any part of it) where reasonably necessary — for example, for violations of these terms, security incidents, or discontinuation of a feature. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

Changes to These Terms#

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be visible on this page before they take effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact#

Questions about these terms can be raised through the NerdleBuddy project repository (do not post personal or confidential information in a public issue). The About page explains who maintains the site. These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you additional mandatory protections.
