Operator Frequency#
Subtraction dominates, and division is the rarest operator — which makes a confirmed ÷ unusually informative. Each bar counts answers that contain the operator; an answer with two operators counts towards both:
This distribution is why the top-ranked openers are subtractions: a − tests the likeliest operator, so either colour of feedback moves the biggest possible slice of the pool.
Single vs Multi-Operator Equations#
With the pool split nearly 50/50, locating the equals sign early — which fixes how many operator slots the answer even has — is one of the fastest structural reads in the game.
