What Duotrigordle Is#
Duotrigordle runs thirty-two Wordle boards in parallel. Each guess is applied to all of them, each board colours it against its own hidden answer, and you have thirty-seven guesses — thirty-two words plus five spare — to clear the lot. Solved boards lock in place, so the screen gradually calms down as you work through it.
It was built in early 2022 by Bryan Chen, then a computer science student at the University of Waterloo, who has written a making-of series on his blog and discussed the game's growth on the Hey, Good Game podcast. He cites Wordle, Dordle, Quordle, and Octordle as the ladder he extended. The game lives at duotrigordle.com and still publishes daily puzzles as of mid-2026.
How to Play#
You have 37 guesses for 32 answers. At most five guesses can solve no board. If you use six opening words, at least one must solve a board.
Modes Beyond the Daily#
Beyond the standard daily puzzle and an unlimited practice mode, the site rotates several daily variants. Daily Sequence reveals boards one at a time — you only see the next board after solving the current one — and grants two extra guesses for thirty-nine total. Daily Jumble picks your first three words for you at random and adds one extra guess for thirty-eight. The Perfect Challenge is the flex run: after a free first word, every guess must solve a board, thirty-two for thirty-two.
